Speaking at the signing ceremony, in his office in Zaria, the Director-General/Chief Executive of NITT, Dr Bayero Salih Farah, expressed optimism about the new partnership. “Our hope is that when the MoU comes into effect, NITT will become a centre for the university in the West African sub-region,” he said, adding that the collaboration would open doors for PhD and MSc programmes, as well as other specialised professional courses offered by WMU.
The President of the World Maritime University, Prof. Maximo Q. Mejia Jr., signed on behalf of the University, while Dr Bayero Salih Farah signed for NITT, alongside the Institute’s Registrar, Dr Maina W.A. Tarfa.
