DG/CE Inaugurates NISNL Board

Nisnl-Board

The Director General and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, has charged the newly reconstituted Board of the Nuclear Integrated Services Nigeria Limited (NISNL) to think outside the box and come up with innovations that would enable it function effectively and efficiently.

He stated this today , during the inauguration of the new Board in Zaria.

The DG/CE urged the Board members to work as a team to surmount the numerous challenges faced by the NISNL, as well as source for more revenue to sustain itself and meet up with the standard (minimum wage) remuneration for its staff.

He decried the recent thefts within the Institute and the heavy reliance of the company on NITT for virtually all of its operational needs, emphasising the need for the company to be self- sustaining.

Speaking further, Dr Farah noted that the Institute would strive, despite limited resources, to meet up with the needs of the company.

” NITT has the responsibility of paying for the security and cleaning services provided by the company”, he observed, adding that, ” the task before the Board is enormous, and there must be a significant change in its operations.”

He said, ” NITT used to maintain the cleanest environment in Zaria, so let’s galvanize and motivate our workforce to ensure we maintain the cleanliness that we are known for.”

Responding, the new Chairman of the Board and Director, Transport School, Engr. Remi Adewumi, noted that he was not unmindful of the challenges ahead, promising, however, that the Board would do its best to surmount the numerous challenges bedevilling the company.

He recounted the vision and efforts behind the establishment of the company, pledging to deliver on its mandates.

On his part, the new Admin Manager of the company, Mal Bashir Bello Santuraki, thanked the DG/CE for his appointment, promising to justify the confidence reposed in him.
