The Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria, and the Nigerian Automobile Technicians’ Association (NATA) have entered into a strategic partnership to boost technical capacity and innovation in the country’s automotive sector.
The agreement, sealed on Wednesday at NITT’s Abuja Liaison Office in Utako, was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by NITT’s Director General/Chief Executive, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, and NATA’s National President, Comrade Dele Odewale.
The MoU outlines areas of collaboration such as technical workshops, training programmes, joint research, resource sharing, and the establishment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion centres, among others.
Present at the ceremony were NITT’s Registrar, Dr. Maina W. A. Tarfa; Director, Transport Technology Centre (TTC), Dr. Joshua Odeleye; and Head, Legal Services, Barr. Davies Job, among others.
The partnership is expected to open new frontiers in automotive skills development, while promoting cleaner and more sustainable transport solutions nationwide.
