The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria. The MoU, which was conceived sometimes ago, was finalised and signed by both organisations today at NITT’s headquarters in Zaria.
The Director General/Chief Executive, NITT, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, noted that the MoU would potentially add value to both institutions, adding that the Institute perfectly understood the positive impact of progressive and constructive collaborations, hence the Institute’s inclination for partnerships.
Dr. Farah further observed that NITT had, over the years, trained several personnel who had risen to occupy key positions in NCAA, NEMA, FAAN etc. He stressed that NITT would continue to work towards the growth and development of the transport and aviation industry.
In his remarks, the AAAU Registrar, Dr. Mustapha Sheik Abdullahi disclosed that most of the facilities the university had been seeking abroad were readily available at NITT. He said he was passionate about the MoU, which would cover capacity development, staff exchanges, driver training, research, logistics and supply chain management.
