The Management of Enhanced – Entrepreneurs Belarus Nig. Co. (EBNC) Ltd led by the Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Charles Adzo, has sought to partner with the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT). According to him, the collaboration would be premised on training and retraining, staff and students exchanges as well as joint academic and research programmes.
Mr. Adzo noted that EBNC, which works hand in hand with the Belarusian Embassy, had access to over 40 universities and specialised institutions in Belarus, which NITT could benefit from. He went further to say that two institutions – Belarus National Technical University (BNTU) and Republican Institute for Vocational Education (RIPO), both in Minsk, had expressed interest to synergize with NITT.
“You are a Centre of Excellence already”, Mr. Adzo asserted; “but the proposed partnership would make NITT even greater”, he added.
In his response, the Director General/Chief Executive, NITT, represented by the Director, Training Department, Dr. Danjuma A. Ismaila, expressed the Institute’s readiness to partner with Belarus through EBNC.
He however, enumerated specific areas NITT would like to collaborate on to include human capacity development, CNC machines, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and other cleaner and cheaper alternative sources of energy.
Dr. Ismaila disclosed that the Federal Government had recently selected NITT as one of the centres for training and conversion of petrol engines to CNG. “We are ready to work together towards achieving our mutual objectives”, he conceded.
