The Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria, wishes to inform the general public that the list of pre-qualified bidders for the Institute’s 2026 Capital Projects has been published.
The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation (FMOT), Engr. Olufunsho Olusesan Adebiyi, has announced plans for the construction of a rail line linking Abuja with Zaria.
He stated this at the maiden convocation ceremony of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria, on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
The Nigerian transport sector recorded a major milestone on Monday, 15 June, 2026 as the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) and Asia Arab Investment Nigeria Limited (AAI) formally signed a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreement for the implementation of the Smart National Transport Databank Project (SNTDP).
