NITT Develops New Portal

NITT, Zaria

The Library and Information Services Department of Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria has created a new portal. This was disclosed by the Director, Library and Information Services Department, Dr. (Mrs.) Felicia Nwanosike during an interactive session between the Department and Management of the Institute recently in Zaria.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Felicia stated that the Portal was developed in two phases, adding that only the first phase of the development had been completed. She further stated that the first phase was specifically designed for the application and registration of prospective participants of the Institute. Her words:

“We have finished developing the first phase. The second phase which has to do with result generation and registration of courses would soon be completed”

She further noted that the Department had already liaised with REMITA and as such, all payments could be made through the Institute’s portal.

Responding, the Director General/Chief Executive, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah commended the Department for the initiative and described it as “a giant step to digitalise the Institute”

Other speakers were Director, Training Department, Engr. Elkanah Ngbale, Director, Transport Technology Center (TTC), Dr. Danjuma Ismaila, and Director, Transport School, Dr. Ibrahim Baba Mundi and other dignitaries.
