The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) Inspection Team, led by Arc. Ugoh Ngbede, has approved the running of two National Diploma (ND) programmes in Transport and Logistics and Freight Forwarding by the Transport School Department of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria.
The new ND programmes were in addition to the fresh six programmes earlier approved for running by the Transport Technology Centre (TTC), another department in the Institute that is responsible for tech development, stimulation, training of drivers, technologists and engineers for effective handling and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, amongst other things.
The approval of these programmes was the culmination of the resource inspection in key areas of academics, physical facilities, staffing, among others
At the end of the inspection, Arc. Ugoh applauded NITT for the state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and enjoined the Institute to crown it by implementing all the recommendations. He noted that the inspection would be a recurrent process.
Speaking through a representative, the Director General and Chief Executive, NITT, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, thanked the NBTE team, and assured them that all observations would be earnestly considered, and implemented accordingly.
